Job Summary

As an IT Incident and Process Manager at Germany's Federal Cybersecurity Authority (BSI), you will play a critical role in securing the nation's digital infrastructure. Based in the National IT Situation Center, your daily responsibilities include monitoring the cyber threat landscape, processing incident reports from critical infrastructure operators, and providing expert recommendations for action. You will act as a key interface between the BSI, private sector companies, and other government agencies. Beyond active incident management, you will drive the continuous improvement of reporting processes and IT systems, with a focus on automation and knowledge management. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor/Diploma) in Computer Science, Technical Computer Science, IT Security, Administrative Informatics, Business Informatics, or a comparable IT-focused field.

Experience

  • At least 3 years of professional experience in a Situation Center or Security Operations Center (SOC)
  • Professional experience in creating and evaluating the effectiveness of processes and knowledge management measures
  • Professional experience in incident management and reporting structures
  • Experience in conceptual work and process documentation using industry best practices

Additional
