Job Summary
This role offers a unique opportunity to join the newly established Max Planck Information and Technology (MaxIT) central IT facility, supporting one of the world's leading research organizations. As a Project Manager, you will be a key driver in the digital transformation of the Max Planck Society's HR systems. Your day-to-day responsibilities include leading the transformation project from SAP HCM to SAP SuccessFactors, specifically focusing on Employee Central and Time modules. You will moderate requirements with internal customers, define new IT service levels, and manage cross-functional project teams consisting of internal staff and external consultants. The position is highly attractive for professionals seeking to combine technical SAP expertise with strategic project management in a prestigious scientific environment. You will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle, including resource planning, budget management, and reporting, while ensuring that new target processes align with diverse stakeholder needs across various research institutes.
Required Skills
Education
University degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable qualification/experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in leading transformation projects or sub-projects within the SAP SuccessFactors environment
- Specific experience with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central and Time modules
- Proven experience in team leadership and managing internal and external project members
- Experience in moderating and documenting customer requirements and developing technical concepts
- Experience in project planning, resource management, and budget tracking

- The role requires the ability to work independently and bring in creative ideas. Certifications in Scrum, Kanban, or PRINCE2 are preferred but not mandatory. Location is within the central IT facility of the Max Planck Society.
