Job Summary
This role is based at the European Space Operations Centre (ESOC) in Darmstadt, where you will join the Network Operations Centre (NOC) team to support the ESTRACK Ground Station Network. Your daily responsibilities include the installation, maintenance, and support of operational IT hardware, servers, and network devices within data centers and control rooms. A critical component of this position is performing electrical safety inspections (DGUV V3) and managing cabling infrastructure, including patching and testing. You will handle incident tickets, manage spare parts, and support Launch and Early Orbit Phase (LEOP) activities. This position is ideal for a technical professional who enjoys a mix of hands-on electrical work and IT infrastructure support. Required Skills
Education
Qualified Electrician (Elektrofachkraft - EFK), or completed vocational training in Electrical Engineering (e.g., Electronics Technician, Mechatronics Technician), potentially with further qualification as a Master Craftsman or State-Certified Technician.
Experience
- Professional experience as a Certified Electrician (EFK) or in a comparable electrical engineering role
- Practical experience in handling electrical systems, power distribution, and inspection activities
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and fault analysis within technical environments
- Experience working with data center infrastructure and IT hardware installation
- Experience working in a service-oriented or KPI-driven environment

Additional
- Must be physically capable of lifting equipment up to 25 kg. Readiness for occasional shift work is required to support LEOP activities. Position is located on-site at ESOC in Darmstadt.
