Job Summary
This role involves joining the Central IT Department at the Sonneberg District Office, where you will provide comprehensive technical support and infrastructure management. Your daily responsibilities include managing first and second-level helpdesk requests via a ticket system, administering Windows servers and clients, and maintaining the district's cross-site IT infrastructure, including virtualization, storage, and backup systems. You will play a key role in implementing IT security and data protection measures, as well as managing procurement processes for hardware and software. This position is ideal for a service-oriented professional who enjoys a mix of hands-on technical troubleshooting and strategic system planning. The role offers the stability of a public service contract (TVöD-VKA) and, while initially fixed-term for one year, carries a strong intention of becoming a permanent position based on performance.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an IT Specialist for System Integration (Fachinformatiker für Systemintegration) or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in Windows client and server operating systems
- Practical experience in network technology and Active Directory administration
- Experience in user support and handling external service providers
- Experience in procurement and ordering processes for IT equipment
