Job Summary

This role involves ensuring accurate and complete medical documentation and coding within a modern hospital setting. The specialist will be responsible for independently coding primary and secondary diagnoses using ICD-10-GM and procedures using OPS for various psychiatric, psychosomatic, and neurological departments. A key part of the job is to review documentation quality to meet MDK standards, handle inquiries and reports from cost bearers and the MDK, and manage dispute and legal proceedings. Additionally, the specialist will advise and train medical and nursing staff on optimizing medical documentation.
