Job Summary

This is a full-time, three-year doctoral research position within the Chair for Cryptography at Ruhr University Bochum. As part of a prestigious international team associated with the CASA Cluster of Excellence and the Max Planck Institute, the successful candidate will focus on the design and analysis of cryptographic protocols. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing new tools and models for post-quantum cryptography, evaluating the concrete security of real-world protocols, and contributing to the academic life of the chair through conference organization. Required Skills

Education

Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Computer Science or a related field with excellent grades.

Experience

  • Professional experience in computer science research or a related technical field
  • Strong background in the area of cryptography
  • Demonstrated experience in academic communication and interpersonal collaboration
  • Experience with lattices, zero-knowledge proofs, or security reductions is highly preferred
