Job Summary

This is a high-impact role within SAP's Office of the CTO, where you will join a newly formed, world-class center of expertise for Quantum Computing. You will be responsible for bridging the gap between cutting-edge quantum research and enterprise application development. Day-to-day, you will coordinate SAP-wide efforts to apply quantum simulation to complex business problems in areas like finance and material science. This involves collaborating with Chief Architects and various Lines of Business to define strategic roadmaps, identify high-impact use cases, and drive the creation of prototypes and proof-of-concepts. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of NISQ algorithms and quantum simulation alongside the ability to translate abstract scientific concepts into architectural blueprints. This position is unique as it offers the opportunity to shape the long-term quantum strategy for a global leader in enterprise software, working at the intersection of advanced research and large-scale cloud architecture.

Required Skills

Education

Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, with a strong specialization in Quantum Simulation.

Experience

  • 5+ years of professional experience in technology research or advanced development roles
  • Proven track record in developing complex, scalable enterprise software applications
  • Deep expertise in Quantum Simulation algorithms and their practical application
  • Experience managing complex strategic topics across global stakeholder networks
  • Experience in Quality Management or Development Support is a plus
