Job Summary

This PhD position focuses on identifying and understanding degradation mechanisms in Proton-exchange membrane (PEM) electrolyzers under industrial operating conditions. The successful candidate will develop and validate electrochemical and analytical methods as aging descriptors, design experiments to capture main aging stressors, and elucidate degradation mechanisms. Based on this understanding, an aging model will be established to predict the state of health (SoH) under industrial conditions. This role involves working with an international research team, collaborating with product development, utilizing in-field data, and conducting excellent research. The position encourages initiative, emphasizes staying current with internal and external knowledge, and requires sharing findings through publications.
