Job Summary
As an IT Support Specialist for the city of Dillenburg, you will be the primary technical point of contact for approximately 300 users across diverse municipal facilities, including administrative offices, museums, fire departments, and childcare centers. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve providing first and second-level support, troubleshooting hardware like PCs and tablets, and managing network and telephony systems. Beyond technical troubleshooting, you will handle administrative tasks such as procurement, invoice processing, and inventory management. This role is ideal for a solution-oriented professional who enjoys a mix of technical problem-solving and organizational duties. The position offers a permanent contract under the TVöD/VKA public service collective agreement, providing long-term stability and the opportunity to help shape the digital infrastructure of a modern public service provider across multiple local sites.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training in IT, such as IT Specialist for System Integration (Fachinformatiker Systemintegration) or a comparable qualification.
Experience
- Professional experience in IT system integration or a comparable technical field
- Experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues in a multi-user environment
- Experience working with IT service providers and specialized public sector applications is preferred
- Experience in administrative IT tasks including ordering and invoice processing
