Job Summary

As a Biopharmaceutical Production Operator in Biberach an der Riß, you will play a critical role in the large-scale manufacturing of biopharmaceutical active ingredients for a leading research-based pharmaceutical company. Your daily responsibilities include operating bioreactors and sterile cell culture equipment, managing media transfers, and performing filtration processes. You will be responsible for the assembly and disassembly of filters, process monitoring, and ensuring the cleaning and sterilization of production equipment. A key aspect of this role is maintaining strict adherence to cGMP guidelines and EHS safety regulations, including meticulous documentation of all manufacturing steps. This position is particularly attractive due to its integration into a major research environment, offering compensation according to the IG Chemie collective agreement from day one, participation in annual bonus schemes, and access to excellent onsite facilities such as a canteen and medical services. The role operates on a fixed shift schedule, providing predictability despite weekend and holiday rotations.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as a Bio-worker, Production Specialist for Biotechnology/Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Technician, Chemical Technician, or a related field (e.g., Brewer, Maltster, Dairy Specialist, Mechatronics Technician).

Experience

  • Professional experience in large-scale production environments, ideally within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or chemical setting
  • Experience in operating technical machinery and equipment for biopharmaceutical manufacturing
  • Proven track record of working in shift systems, including weekend and holiday rotations
  • Experience in technical documentation and process monitoring
