Job Summary
As the Head of IT, Digitalization and Central Services for the Miesbach District Office, you will hold a pivotal leadership role responsible for the strategic and operational management of the IT department. Leading a team of approximately 30 employees across three units, you will drive the digital transformation of public administration, ensuring a stable and secure IT infrastructure while modernizing internal processes. Your day-to-day involves managing budgets, advising executive management on technological innovations, and overseeing complex projects related to data strategy and information security. Required Skills
Education
Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Public Management, or Economics with a focus on IT Management. Alternatively, a Diploma in Administrative Informatics with eligibility for the 4th qualification level (QE 4) or 10 years of IT experience with specific additional certifications (QVA-BVS).
Experience
- Professional leadership experience with disciplinary responsibility for teams or departments
- Proven experience in managing complex IT or digitalization projects including budget oversight
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in an IT context (specifically required for candidates without a Master's degree)
- Experience in public administration and committee work is highly desirable
- Demonstrated experience in introducing new technologies, processes, or organizational structures

- Must be willing to undergo further professional qualifications if required for the specific civil service rank. The role is based in Miesbach and offers a permanent contract under TVöD VKA (EG 14) or BayBesG (up to A 15).
