Job Summary

As a Data Scientist in the Defense sector at IBM, you will bridge the gap between complex data and actionable insights using cutting-edge AI and machine learning tools. Operating within IBM's Consulting Client Innovation Centers, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of data projects, including data cleansing, the development of scalable ML pipelines, and the implementation of advanced models such as Generative AI and RAG architectures. You will work in an agile, collaborative environment alongside engineers and consultants to solve high-impact business problems for public and private sector clients. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's Degree preferred).

Experience

  • Professional experience in data analysis, preparation, and management of complex data sources
  • Proven experience implementing and validating predictive, prescriptive, and statistical models
  • Technical experience in programming or scripting with languages such as Java or Python
  • Experience with MLOps, including CI/CD pipelines and ML lifecycle deployment
  • Experience in designing and implementing solutions for complex technical issues
  • Preferred experience working with clients in the Public or Defense sectors
  • Initial experience in leading technical teams is preferred
