Job Summary

This role is based within the Crypto Competence Center (CCC) of the Deutsche Rentenversicherung Bund, where you will take professional co-responsibility for information security guidelines and cryptography management. Your day-to-day involves coordinating the development of cross-organizational concepts, training materials, and instructions specifically focused on cryptographic technologies, including blockchain. You will serve as a central point of contact for the board of directors and various committees, providing expert advice on IT security and cryptography matters. Additionally, you will lead or participate in internal and external committees, coordinate security audits, and manage emergency drills. This position is unique for its high level of influence over the security architecture of a major public institution, offering a stable public service contract with flexible working models and a strong focus on work-life balance.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor's or Diploma) in IT, or equivalent qualification through IT-specific training and relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in IT security and cryptography
  • Professional experience in coordinating and developing information security guidelines
  • Experience in providing technical advice to executive boards and committees
  • Experience in conducting security audits and emergency exercises
  • Experience in the field of Trust Centers, Key Management, or HSM is desirable
