Job Summary
This full-time position within the Germersheim city administration's facility management department focuses on the independent oversight of fire protection and technical building equipment (TGA) across municipal properties, including administrative buildings and public assembly venues. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing, coordinating, and monitoring maintenance and repair measures, while providing expert technical support for renovation and conversion projects. A key aspect of the role involves close collaboration and consultation with fire departments, testing engineers, and regulatory authorities. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in the public sector with a high degree of responsibility for safety-critical infrastructure. It is initially a fixed-term contract until mid-2028 with potential for permanent extension, offering the stability and social benefits of the German public service (TVöD 9a).
Required Skills
Education
Completed technical training in building services, supply engineering, electrical engineering, or a comparable field. Further qualification as a state-certified technician, master craftsman (Meister), or fire protection officer is desirable.
Experience
- Professional experience in the field of technical building equipment and preventive fire protection
- Experience in the independent supervision of fire safety in public or commercial buildings
