Job Summary
This role involves the coordination and technical management of IT projects within the Ministry for Climate Protection, Environment, Energy, and Mobility in Mainz. As a key member of the 'Automatic Data Processing, ICT, and Statistics' unit, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and steering of IT projects across various departments, with a specific focus on Environmental Information Systems. Your daily tasks will include the administration of Linux servers and their associated applications, as well as contributing to the overall design and operation of the Ministry's IT infrastructure. This position is ideal for professionals who want to apply their technical expertise toward sustainable development and environmental goals. The role offers a high degree of flexibility with options for mobile work, a structured onboarding process, and the security of a permanent public service contract (TV-L E11 or A11). Required Skills
Education
University of Applied Sciences degree or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a comparable field of study with a focus on data and information processing.
Experience
- Professional experience in IT project management and steering
- Experience in the administration and maintenance of Linux-based server environments
- Practical experience in the design and operation of IT infrastructure
- Experience in geographic information processing and geodata management is preferred
- Open to entry-level candidates with relevant academic backgrounds
