Job Summary

This role within the Lower Saxony Ministry for Economic Affairs, Transport, and Building involves managing fundamental issues of European Union funding policy. As a key member of the Managing Authority, you will be responsible for the strategic coordination of EU programs (ERDF and ESF+), ensuring alignment with regional development goals at both the federal and EU levels. Your daily work will include conceptualizing future funding periods, evaluating EU Commission regulations, and participating in high-level expert exchanges. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Economics, Political Science, European Studies, Public Administration, or Law (with Second State Examination).

Experience

  • At least 2 years of professional experience following the completion of the required university degree or qualification
  • Professional experience in European specialist or funding policies within administration, practice, or science (preferably ERDF/ESF)
  • Experience in organizing and leading interdisciplinary or cross-departmental working groups
  • Experience with federal-state working groups or European committees is highly desirable
