Job Summary

This leadership role involves heading the Organizational Management unit within the Finance and Organization department for the District of Herzogtum Lauenburg. You will lead a team of 6.5 staff members, driving the modernization and digital transformation of the district administration. Day-to-day responsibilities include initiating and managing administrative concepts, evaluating the potential of digital tools, and overseeing internal projects. You will also be responsible for staff sizing, job evaluations, and providing organizational consulting to various departments. The position is unique for its influence on inter-municipal cooperation and the strategic steering of IT service providers. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Diploma or Bachelor) in Public Administration or a related field; alternatively, equivalent qualifications such as Administrative Specialist with the Advanced Administrative Course (Angestelltenlehrgang II).

Experience

  • Professional experience across various roles within municipal administrations
  • Experience in managing digitalization projects within a local government context
  • Professional knowledge of collective bargaining law (TVöD) and civil service grading
  • Previous leadership experience in the municipal sector is highly beneficial
  • Experience in organizational consulting and conducting organizational audits
