Job Summary
The Technical Director will lead the technical operations for the Rothach Sewage Treatment Association, overseeing a state-of-the-art wastewater treatment plant serving 62,000 residents and over 30 external stations. This role involves managing the technical aspects of the association's meetings, coordinating construction and renovation projects with engineering firms, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. You will lead a technical team of approximately 10 people and serve as the Water Protection Officer. The position offers a unique long-term perspective with a significant transition period, as the current incumbent is retiring in 2027. Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering, ideally with a focus on Urban Water Management, or a comparable field of study.
Experience
- Several years of relevant professional experience in a management role within a special-purpose association, utility/waste management company, or engineering firm
- Proven experience in the operation of municipal wastewater treatment plants
- Leadership experience managing technical teams of approximately 10 employees
- Experience in coordinating with public authorities and external engineering contractors
- Professional background in innovative and economic operational development

- Valid Class B driver's license required. Must be able to serve as the Water Protection Officer. Position is based in Lindenberg im Allgäu with a 39-hour work week under the TVöD framework.
