This role involves joining the Civil Engineering and Environment Office for the City of Rinteln to manage diverse infrastructure and public space projects. Day-to-day, you will be responsible for the planning, tendering, and supervision of road construction, bridge maintenance, and street lighting projects. Additionally, you will oversee the development of urban outdoor spaces such as parks, playgrounds, and green areas. A significant portion of the role includes managing external engineering firms across all HOAI service phases and coordinating closely with the municipal building yard and utility providers. You will also serve as a key point of contact for citizens and political committees, preparing detailed reports for decision-making. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Diploma or Bachelor) in Civil Engineering with a focus on Road Construction/Operations, or Landscape Architecture/Open Space Planning. Alternatively, a Master Road Maintenance Worker (Straßenwärtermeister) with administrative experience.
Experience
- Professional experience as a Project Manager or Construction Supervisor
- Experience in the administration of public sector projects
- Proven track record in the planning and awarding of engineering and construction services
- Experience in managing external planning offices and service providers
