Job Summary
As a ServiceNow Operations Engineer, you will join one of Europe's largest banking IT service providers to manage and maintain the strategic ServiceNow platform in a self-hosted environment. Your daily responsibilities include ensuring high availability, managing system architecture across Oracle and Unix bases, and administering various instances from development to production. You will be responsible for release management, 3rd-level support, and continuous platform optimization. This role is unique as it involves managing the full stack of the ServiceNow architecture, including web server components and the database layer. Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field of study; alternatively, a completed technical vocational training with an IT focus.
Experience
- At least 3 years of professional experience in IT operations or a related technical field
- Experience in independent problem-solving and proactive system development
- Professional experience with ServiceNow platforms is highly preferred
- Experience with database technologies and scripting languages is advantageous
- Experience in structured, goal-oriented implementation of optimization measures
Languages
Additional
- Willingness to work weekends and participate in on-call rotations is required. The role is based in Hannover or Münster, though the primary team is located in Hannover.
