Job Summary
The Building Department of the State Capital Wiesbaden is seeking a Head of General Administration, Human Resources, and Organization to lead a small, dedicated team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the technical, personnel, and organizational management of the department, ensuring smooth operations for a city office responsible for major construction projects. Your daily responsibilities include leading recruitment processes, advising staff on administrative matters, and handling sensitive personnel issues. You will also be responsible for drafting official resolutions for the city council and implementing organizational directives. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Bachelor/Diploma) in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field; or qualification for the 'Higher Service' (gehobener Dienst); or completion of the Administrative Specialist (Verwaltungsfachwirt) certification.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience related to HR and administration
- Practical experience in applying relevant labor and collective bargaining laws (TVöD)
- Leadership experience is preferred
- Experience in preparing official municipal resolutions and organizational directives
- Proven track record in independent and responsible work environments
