This role involves the crucial task of commissioning and functionally testing rail vehicles. The successful candidate will be responsible for independently establishing electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic functions, performing thorough troubleshooting based on schematics, specifications, and technical drawings, and diagnosing and resolving complex issues across electrical, pneumatic, software, and climate systems. Meticulous documentation of work results, protocols, and error lists is also a key responsibility. This position is ideal for an experienced electrician or electrical engineer who thrives in a hands-on environment, can navigate complex systems, and is committed to upholding rigorous safety standards.

Required Skills

Education

Completed training as an Electrician, Electrical Engineer, or equivalent

Experience

  • Professional experience in testing rail vehicles
  • Ability to independently operate complex systems after instruction
  • Experience working with electrically active components and devices
  • Experience working in confined spaces with restricted access (e.g., control cabinets, equipment containers)
  • Experience working at heights up to 4m (e.g., roof work platforms)
  • Experience working in varying forced postures and outdoors
