Job Summary

As a Materials Tester based in Ingolstadt, you will play a critical role in ensuring the structural integrity and safety of industrial components. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve performing non-destructive testing (NDT) at fixed construction sites, assembly locations, and within power plants. You will utilize advanced techniques including ultrasonic, X-ray, and surface testing to identify potential defects. Beyond the technical execution, you are responsible for creating comprehensive test documentation and ensuring all procedures strictly adhere to industry standards and safety regulations. This position is ideal for technical professionals who enjoy variety, as it combines hands-on field work with rigorous quality management. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in a technical/industrial field, specifically in Metalworking or Electrical Engineering.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in non-destructive materials testing
  • Level 2 qualification and certification in RT, MT, and PT is required
  • Practical experience in ultrasonic testing (UT) is highly preferred
  • Experience working on construction sites, assembly plants, or power stations
  • Proven track record in creating detailed technical test reports and documentation

  • Valid Class B driver's license required. Willingness to work on assembly sites and power plants. Must be eligible to work under a DGB/GVP collective agreement.
