Job Summary
This role at the University Hospital Düsseldorf (UKD) involves the independent conception and implementation of large- and small-scale investments in medical technology, specifically focusing on radiation and nuclear medicine diagnostic equipment. As a Specialist Planner, you will lead projects to introduce new imaging procedures, coordinating between clinical users, administrative departments, and external vendors. Your day-to-day will involve providing technical expertise for procurement, creating feasibility statements, and ensuring compliance with strict regulatory frameworks such as the Medical Device Regulation (MDR) and Radiation Protection Ordinance (StrlSchV). This position is ideal for a technical professional who enjoys bridging the gap between medical physics, IT, and infrastructure. Required Skills
Education
University degree (Master/Diploma or Bachelor) in Medical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Hospital Technology, or a comparable field; alternatively, a completed technical vocational training with equivalent documented experience.
Experience
- Professional experience in the planning, procurement, or project management of medical or radiation technology investments
- Experience in interface management between medical physics, IT, construction/TGA, and external specialist companies
- Proven experience in coordinating multiple parallel projects and organizational tasks
- Experience with technical, infrastructural, and organizational requirements for radiation systems in a hospital environment
Languages
Additional
- Expertise S-6.3 (formerly technical X-ray R7) for maintenance of ionizing radiation systems is preferred or must be acquired during the probationary period. Knowledge of DIN, EN, IEC, and VDE standards is required.
