Job Summary
The Court of Audit of Saxony-Anhalt is seeking four Public Sector Auditors to join their team in Dessau-Roßlau. As a key pillar of financial oversight in the state, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive audits to prevent the waste of public funds. Your day-to-day activities will include preparing audit concepts, performing on-site investigations, evaluating evidence, and drafting official audit reports. The roles are divided into specific focus areas: School Administration/Adult Education, Social Affairs, and Arts & Culture. Beyond auditing, you will contribute to the annual state report and provide expert opinions on draft legislation and government concepts. Required Skills
Education
Career qualification for the higher intermediate administrative service (Laufbahngruppe 2, 1. Einstiegsamt); OR a Bachelor/Diploma in Public Administration, Administrative Economics, Business Administration, or Economics; OR qualification as a Certified Administrative Specialist (Verwaltungsfachwirt/AL II/BL II).
Experience
- Professional experience in public administration or financial oversight
- Several years of relevant professional experience in the focus areas (Schools, Social Affairs, or Culture) is preferred
- Experience with state authorities (Landesbehörden) is an advantage
- Proven experience in drafting formal audit findings and administrative statements
- Experience in evaluating legal regulations and government guidelines

- Willingness to undertake multi-day business trips is required. A valid driver's license (Class B) is preferred. Candidates must be eligible for public service employment (civil servant or TV-L contract). Part-time is only possible with a minimum of 35 hours per week.
