Job Summary

As an Electrical Design Engineer in Bochum, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design and maintenance of circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams, and parts lists using EPLAN Electric P8. Your daily activities will involve planning electrotechnical components and control cabinets for complex plant projects, moving from the initial concept phase to production readiness. You will play a critical role in selecting electrical equipment based on both technical and economic criteria while ensuring all documentation complies with industry standards. This position is highly collaborative, requiring close coordination with mechanical engineering, control systems, and assembly teams, as well as direct communication with customers and suppliers. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in electrical engineering, ideally supplemented by further training as a Technician or a university degree in Electrical Engineering.

Experience

Several years of professional experience in electrical design, preferably within the mechanical or plant engineering sectors
Proven expertise in creating circuit and current flow diagrams using EPLAN Electric P8
Experience in the selection and specification of electrical equipment according to technical and economic criteria
Professional experience in cross-departmental collaboration with mechanical, control, and assembly teams
