Job Summary

As a Hardware and Automation Service Technician, you will be responsible for the commissioning, maintenance, and servicing of electrotechnical systems both remotely and on-site at customer locations. Your daily tasks involve troubleshooting, performing mechanical and electrical modifications, and programming PLC controllers using tools like Siemens TIA Portal or Codesys. You will also develop HMI/SCADA visualizations, implement Node-RED applications for system integration, and manage industrial communication protocols such as Modbus and Profinet. This role is ideal for those who enjoy a mix of traditional electrical engineering and modern IT-driven automation. Based in Schwabach, the position offers a hybrid work model with a blend of office-based planning and field service assignments. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, Mechatronics, or a comparable field (must include an electrical engineering qualification).

Experience

  • Several years of practical experience in a service or plant environment
  • Professional experience in PLC programming and visualization systems
  • Experience with Linux installation, network configuration, and shell basics
  • Proven track record in troubleshooting and maintaining electrotechnical systems
  • Experience in managing automation architectures and IT interfaces
