Job Summary

The Municipality of Schwanewede is seeking a strategic and leadership-oriented professional to lead its newly created Youth, Culture, and Leisure department. This full-time, permanent role involves managing a team of 18 employees and overseeing the operational and strategic development of services for children and youth, cultural events, and recreational facilities. Key responsibilities include financial planning, managing three youth centers, promoting local sports and culture (including libraries and pools), and coordinating tourism and volunteer initiatives. You will act as a central coordinator between internal stakeholders and external partners to enhance the community's quality of life. This position is particularly attractive due to its high degree of creative freedom, the possibility of up to four days of mobile work per week after initial training, and the benefits of the TVöD public service contract, including a company pension and fitness programs.

Required Skills

Education

Successfully completed 'Angestelltenlehrgang II' (Administrative Specialist), a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, or a comparable profile acquired through extensive professional experience in the field.
