Job Summary

Based in Freiburg, Offenburg, or Karlsruhe, you will serve as a Project Engineer with a clear pathway to transition into a Project Lead role. Your daily responsibilities involve managing electrical engineering projects specifically within water management and flood protection sectors. You will handle all phases of the HOAI (Official Scale of Fees for Services by Architects and Engineers), including basic evaluation, planning, tendering, and site supervision. The role balances office-based design work with active on-site construction supervision. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, public authorities, and clients to deliver critical infrastructure projects. This position is unique for its long-term stability within an independent, owner-managed firm and the opportunity to eventually increase working hours if desired.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Electrical Engineering, Energy Technology, Automation Technology, or a completed vocational qualification as an Electrical Technician.

Experience

  • Professional experience in switchgear construction (required for candidates with a Technician background)
  • Experience in all performance phases of the HOAI for electrical systems
  • Experience in water management or flood protection projects is beneficial
  • Professional experience in project planning and site supervision

Languages

German (Fluent)

Additional

  • Valid Class B driver's license required. Position is part-time (40-60%) with locations in Freiburg, Offenburg, or Karlsruhe.
