Job Summary
This role involves working within the Stuttgart Police Headquarters' Department 32, which focuses on economic crime, fraud, and environmental offenses. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for the qualitative analysis of large unstructured data sets and the development of case-specific algorithms. You will customize analysis and conversion software to meet investigative needs and program individual tools based on database systems to support digital forensics. A key part of the role includes creating expert reports and testifying as an expert witness in court. You will also provide technical support during search and seizure operations and offer professional advice to internal and external units. This position is unique as it combines high-level data science with law enforcement, offering the stability of the public sector (TV-L E12) alongside the opportunity to contribute to significant criminal investigations in a modern technical environment.
Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Science, or a related field.
Experience
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience for the E12 salary grade
- Professional experience in data analysis or software development
- Experience in programming database-driven tools
- Experience in creating technical reports or expert opinions
