Job Summary
As a Biological Technical Assistant at DISCO Pharmaceuticals in Cologne, you will play a vital role in advancing innovative cancer therapies. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve managing laboratory operations and handling mammalian tissue cultures, including both immortalized and primary cell lines. You will be actively involved in diverse exploratory and preclinical projects, where you will design, execute, and meticulously document experiments. A key part of the role includes data analysis and presenting your findings during team and departmental meetings. This position is particularly attractive as it offers the chance to work within a dynamic, international spin-off from ETH Zurich, utilizing cutting-edge mass spectrometry technology to map the 'surfaceome' of cancer cells. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Biological Technical Assistant (BTA), Medical Technical Assistant (MTA), or an equivalent degree.
Experience
- At least 5 years of practical laboratory experience
- Professional experience in a biotechnological or pharmaceutical environment
- Extensive experience in tissue and cell culture of immortalized and primary human cell lines
- Proven expertise in cell biology, molecular biology, and protein chemistry methods
- Experience in laboratory administration and organization
