Job Summary

This role offers a unique opportunity to join the newly established Future Center for German Unity and European Transformation in Halle (Saale). As a key member of the IT team, you will drive the digital transformation of the organization by implementing and managing specialized business applications such as Document Management Systems (DMS) and electronic filing. Your daily responsibilities include analyzing administrative processes to design efficient digital workflows, managing IT projects for software rollouts, and ensuring the technical operation of server-based systems. You will also play a critical role in maintaining IT security standards according to BSI standards and providing support to internal departments. A standout feature of this position is the responsibility to act as the deputy for the IT Lead, coordinating tasks and prioritizing operations. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong affinity for open-source technology and digital sovereignty who want to shape the infrastructure of a high-profile national project.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, (Industrial) Engineering, or an equivalent qualification through professional practice.

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT project management, specifically regarding software implementation and business application support
  • Practical experience in analyzing and digitalizing administrative or organizational processes
  • Proven experience in operating IT infrastructures, including server-based systems and directory services
  • Experience in implementing IT security and data protection measures
  • Leadership experience or potential, as required for deputy IT management duties
