As a Senior Principal Scientist in Discovery Process Chemistry, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between drug discovery and clinical development at Bayer. Your daily activities will involve leading chemical process research and development, specifically focusing on route design and process optimization for small molecule drug candidates and synthetic modalities like peptides. You will manage external partners and Contract Development and Manufacturing Organizations (CDMOs) to ensure the efficient supply of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) for preclinical and early clinical phases. A key part of this role is evaluating state-of-the-art chemical technologies and digital chemistry tools to improve yield, quality, and cost-efficiency.
