Job Summary
This role involves two positions within the Brandenburg State Office for Environment, focused on implementing the Action Programme for Natural Climate Protection (ANK). You will work at the operational level to prioritize and conceptualize climate protection measures within protected areas, ensuring alignment with Natura 2000, the EU Biodiversity Strategy 2030, and the Nature Restoration Law. Depending on the specific department (N3 or N4), your day-to-day will involve coordinating restoration plans, monitoring species and habitats, or organizing bird protection measures and stakeholder communication. The role is ideal for environmental professionals who want to bridge the gap between high-level policy and on-the-ground ecological implementation. Required Skills
Education
Master's degree or equivalent scientific university degree in Biology, Geoecology, Nature Conservation, Landscape Planning, or a related field.
Experience
- Professional experience in biology, geoecology, nature conservation, or landscape planning
- Proven expertise in species and habitat types
- Experience in nature conservation and environmental law
- Experience with administrative processes or public administration is preferred
- Experience in project initialization and technical support of ecological measures
