Job Summary

As an Electrical Design Engineer at Brunel, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development of electrical systems for industrial machinery and plants. Your day-to-day activities involve creating and maintaining comprehensive circuit diagrams and electrical plans, as well as designing control cabinets in strict adherence to current industry standards. You will play a pivotal role in selecting electrical components, generating bills of materials (BOMs), and producing wiring documentation. The role is highly collaborative, requiring close coordination with mechanical, automation, and software development teams to ensure seamless integration. Beyond design, you will provide critical support during commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting phases. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree or vocational training in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in electrical design and construction
  • Experience in creating and maintaining electrical circuit diagrams for machinery
  • Practical experience using CAD software such as EPLAN, WSCAD, or AutoCAD Electrical
  • Experience in the selection and specification of electrical components
  • Proven experience in control cabinet design and drive technology
