Job Summary

This role involves the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of critical telecommunications and shooting safety communication networks at the Oberlausitz military training area. As an IT Systems Electronics Technician, you will independently perform switching operations, evaluate technical documentation such as cable plans and measurement protocols, and install radio equipment in vehicles, buildings, and towers. The position requires a hands-on approach to technical infrastructure and involves the transportation of personnel and materials for the telecommunications and radio repair squad. This is a permanent position within the German Federal Armed Forces (Bundeswehr), offering a stable career under the public service collective agreement (TVöD). It is ideal for technical professionals who enjoy field-based maintenance work and are willing to undergo continuous training. The role is unique for its integration into military infrastructure and the requirement to work at heights and operate heavy service vehicles.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an Information and Telecommunications Electronics Technician or in a recognized related technical occupation.

Experience

  • Professional experience in information and telecommunications electronics or a related technical field
  • Experience in interpreting installation, switching, and cable plans
  • Experience in the maintenance and repair of telecommunications equipment
  • Experience or willingness to perform technical work at heights (height suitability required)
