Job Summary

As a Communications Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the technical evaluation and integration of communication systems and antenna arrays, particularly within the maritime or naval sector. Your daily responsibilities will involve analyzing technical specifications from suppliers, conducting electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and system interoperability analyses, and providing expert recommendations for component design. You will act as a key technical liaison, coordinating with various disciplines to ensure seamless system integration. Beyond design and analysis, you will be responsible for creating technical specifications, test regulations, and project management plans. A significant part of the role includes overseeing supplier audits, factory tests, and managing commissioning and acceptance tests both in port and at sea. Required Skills

Education

Completed technical degree in Communications Technology, Information Technology, High-Frequency Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable technical qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the design of communication and antenna systems is preferred
  • Mandatory experience in project-based work
  • Experience in maritime or shipyard environments is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with Bundeswehr operational or tactical procedures is advantageous
  • Proven experience in technical evaluation and system interoperability
