Job Summary

As an IT Data Platform Architect for the City of Stuttgart's Department of Digitalization, Organization, and IT (DO.IT), you will serve as a central technical lead for the city's evolving data infrastructure. Your day-to-day responsibilities include conducting systematic requirement analyses, designing technical implementation strategies, and creating operational concepts. You will be responsible for integrating data platforms into the existing urban IT infrastructure, coordinating with external service providers, and ensuring all solutions meet strict governance and security standards. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a comparable field of study. Foreign degrees require formal recognition in Germany and certified translations.

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT architecture or software engineering
  • Practical experience working with OpenShift and relational database systems
  • Proven experience in managing complex, networked IT systems
  • Several years of relevant professional experience required if applying with a non-computer science degree
  • Experience in coordinating external service providers and stakeholders
