Job Summary

This full-time research position is based at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg within the Institute of Computer Science. As a Research Associate, you will contribute to the 'SIZ-MSH' project, which focuses on developing an interdisciplinary software integration center for medical and care facilities. Your daily responsibilities will include developing domain-specific languages (DSLs) for healthcare interfaces, creating interface adapter generators, and collaborating with IT partners to build a central interface service. You will also be responsible for preparing tests and assisting with project coordination. This role offers a unique opportunity to apply advanced computer science theories, such as compiler construction and service-oriented architectures, to real-world healthcare challenges. The position is fixed-term until March 31, 2029, and provides a structured academic environment for professional growth in software engineering and programming languages.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a closely related scientific field.

Experience

  • Professional experience in compiler construction methods and practical application
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in software architectures, specifically Service-oriented Architectures (SOA)
  • Experience in collaborative software development with external IT and practice partners
  • Experience in developing domain-specific languages or interface descriptions is preferred
