Job Summary

This role involves the end-to-end development of high-end power electronics and hardware components for maritime defense systems. Working at the Oberkochen site for HENSOLDT Optronics, the successful candidate will manage the full lifecycle of analog-digital circuits and power electronic systems, including motor controls and switching power supplies, from initial requirement definition to serial production. Key tasks include designing complex multilayer PCB layouts using SMD fine-pitch and BGA technologies, while ensuring compliance with IPC, VDE, MIL, and EMC standards. The position is unique for its focus on naval optoelectronic systems and high-frequency signal integration. It offers a long-term perspective through a 'temp-to-perm' model, providing the stability of an indefinite contract with the opportunity for direct takeover by a leading international defense technology group. The role is ideal for engineers who enjoy cross-functional collaboration on mechatronic and software interfaces within a highly regulated, high-tech environment.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in the development of electronic assemblies and systems
  • Experience with agile development tools and the V-Model process
  • Proven background in FPGA and microcontroller programming
  • Practical experience in manufacturing processes for electronic assemblies
  • Experience in EMC-compliant hardware development
