Job Summary
As a Computer Scientist at the Center for Lightweight Production Technology (ZLP), you will manage the full development cycle of aerospace production systems. Your primary focus will be the strategic construction and digitalization of production plants, ensuring their integration into scientific data ecosystems. You will be responsible for developing flexible, AI-driven control systems for intelligent manufacturing and assembly, specifically targeting aerospace applications. This role involves conceptualizing and conducting industrial performance tests, as well as providing ongoing support and expansion of system functionalities as new technologies emerge. This position is particularly unique as it encourages pursuing a doctorate (PhD) during your tenure. You will work on both basic research and third-party funded projects, placing you at the forefront of digital transformation in the aerospace industry. Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree (Master's or Diploma) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field of study.
Experience
- Professional experience in object-oriented programming and industrial control systems
- Experience with development environments and programming tools
- Experience in the instrumentation of production systems and bus/communication technologies
- Practical knowledge of industrial robotics and 3D CAD software
- Experience in the development and integration of AI-supported technologies
