Job Summary

This role involves working at the Helmholtz Institute Mainz (HIM) on the development of the superconducting linear accelerator HELIAC. As a Physicist or Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting performance tests on superconducting accelerator cavities for heavy ions and adjusting the natural frequency of superconducting re-buncher cavities. Your day-to-day work includes assembling accelerator strings in cleanroom environments and actively participating in the test operation of the first cryogenic module at the GSI facility. Additionally, you will contribute to the ongoing development of helium supply systems.
