Job Summary

As a Bioinformatics Application Expert at Roche, you will play a pivotal role in supporting sequencing products across the EMEA region. Your daily responsibilities include providing high-level technical support for Roche Diagnostics sequencing products, performing advanced troubleshooting for complex NGS analysis issues, and conducting training sessions for both customers and internal staff. You will collaborate closely with regional subsidiaries and global units to handle product complaints and ensure service quality. This position is unique as it bridges the gap between high-level computational biology and direct customer impact, allowing you to transform patient-related NGS data into clinically relevant information. You will work within a diverse, innovative team at the Regional Customer Support Center, contributing directly to the advancement of diagnostic solutions and healthcare access. Required Skills

Education

PhD in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Computational Biology, or a related field; alternatively, a Bachelor's degree or higher in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field with additional professional experience.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a research or service facility with deep knowledge of NGS technologies
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience if holding a Bachelor's degree in biological sciences
  • Professional experience in designing, developing, and documenting bioinformatics pipelines
  • Extensive experience in the analysis of high-throughput biological data
  • Experience in clinical bioinformatics and interpretation of patient-related NGS data is preferred
