Job Summary
This role involves managing the direct technical sales of high-end, specialized measurement systems used in mining, exploration, and recycling. As an International Technical Sales Engineer, you will not be selling catalog products but rather consulting on complex, six-figure projects that require deep technical integration. Your day-to-day will involve analyzing process conditions, clarifying technical requirements with engineers and plant managers, and developing custom solutions alongside the internal development team. The position is unique for its high degree of international travel (intercontinental trips every 1-2 months) to sites in South Africa, Chile, Australia, and Southeast Asia. You will act as a technical bridge between the customer and the company's specialists in physics, electronics, and software. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience
- Professional experience in technical sales or engineering within an industrial environment
- Experience in managing complex, long-cycle sales projects with high volumes
- Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to decision-makers and engineers
- Experience or willingness to engage in frequent international travel to remote locations like mines and processing plants
- Experience in developing customer-specific technical solutions
