Job Summary
This full-time, permanent position at the Dresden University of Applied Sciences (HTWD) involves managing and maintaining complex technical infrastructure within the Department of Technology. As an Electronics Technician, you will be responsible for the operational reliability of low-voltage systems, including hazard detection, emergency call systems, access control, and clock systems. Your daily routine will include monitoring building automation and control systems (BMS), troubleshooting technical faults, and participating in the modernization of control systems. A unique aspect of this role is the opportunity to work within a prestigious academic environment, contributing to the smooth operation of a campus serving 4,800 students. The position offers the stability of a public service contract (TV-L) and involves participation in a technical on-call rotation. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as an Electronics Technician for Information and Systems Technology (Facharbeiterabschluss Elektroniker/in für Informations- und Systemtechnik) or equivalent.
Experience
- Professional experience in the operation of information technology systems
- Experience in general building services and technical maintenance
- Practical experience in troubleshooting and repairing technical systems
- Experience with software-based hazard management and building control systems
- Qualified at least as an Electrotechnically Instructed Person (EuP)
