Job Summary
This role is situated within an accredited testing facility of a non-profit research institution specializing in high-tech textiles and flexible materials. As a Laboratory Technician, your daily responsibilities will involve conducting physical and chemical material tests on textile samples, performing colorfastness assessments, and conducting fiber analyses. You will be responsible for the evaluation, documentation, and management of test results, alongside essential quality assurance tasks such as equipment maintenance and calibration. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Textile Laboratory Technician, Chemical Laboratory Technician, Chemical-Technical Assistant (CTA), or a comparable qualification in material testing.
Experience
- Professional experience in material testing and laboratory environments
- Practical experience with microscopy, IR-spectroscopy, and UV/VIS-spectroscopy is preferred
- Experience in thermal analysis techniques
- Proven track record in documenting and managing test results
- Experience in performing quality assurance and maintenance of laboratory equipment
