Job Summary
The Berlin Bäder-Betriebe (BBB), Europe's largest municipal pool operator, is seeking a Deputy Head of IT to support the strategic management and technical leadership of their IT department. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the modernization and security of a diverse IT infrastructure, including network systems, Microsoft 365, and cloud integration. Your daily responsibilities involve managing technical teams, coordinating resource planning for personnel and budgets, and ensuring the smooth operation of SAP basic services. You will act as a key liaison for external service providers, managing performance through SLAs and KPIs while driving innovation in virtualization and server technologies. Required Skills
Education
Master's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Natural Sciences (STEM), or a comparable qualification with equivalent skills and experience.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in IT operations, specifically in infrastructure and service management
- Professional experience in the execution and management of IT projects
- Initial technical and organizational leadership experience, ideally within a public enterprise or medium-sized organization
- Experience in managing hybrid and cloud-based infrastructures
- Experience in contract and performance negotiations with external service providers
