Job Summary
This role is based at the Luisenthal location within the chemical analysis laboratory of GWA Gesellschaft für Wasser- und Abwasserservice mbH. As a Scientific Associate, you will be responsible for the comprehensive analysis of water and solid samples for organic trace substances, including pesticides, volatile halogenated hydrocarbons (LHKW), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAK), and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB). Your daily activities involve complex sample preparation, the calibration and monitoring of measurement systems, and the interpretation of analytical results. Furthermore, you will play a key role in maintaining laboratory equipment and introducing, verifying, and validating new testing methods and measurement parameters. Required Skills
Education
University degree in Chemistry, Food Chemistry, Environmental Analysis, or a comparable field of study.
Experience
- Professional experience in chemical laboratory analysis
- Practical experience with GC and coupling techniques is preferred
- Practical experience with HPLC and HPLC-MS/MS is preferred
- Experience in the evaluation and interpretation of measurement results
- Experience in the maintenance and care of laboratory measurement technology
