Job Summary
As an IT Auditor for the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD), you will serve as a key figure in the independent financial control authority, acting as a strategic partner for digital transformation. Your daily responsibilities involve planning and conducting comprehensive IT audits, including system, process, and security assessments. You will evaluate IT governance, compliance, data protection, and information security while developing risk analyses for diverse clients. A significant part of the role includes advancing audit methodologies through automation and AI, providing expert consultancy, and training clients on security standards. Required Skills
Education
Master's degree (M.Sc. or Diploma) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, IT Security, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration with an IT focus.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience in IT auditing, IT revision, IT security, system administration, or IT consulting
- Proven experience in conducting system, process, and IT security audits
- Experience with regulatory audit standards (e.g., IDW PS, FAIT, BAIT, MaRisk) is highly preferred
- Experience in presenting audit results to management boards and technical departments
- Professional background in developing IT audit standards and methodologies

- Must hold the CISA (Certified Information System Auditor) certification. Location is Hannover with mobile work options. Employment follows EKD service contract regulations (equivalent to TVöD Bund EG 14).
