Job Summary

As a Senior Big Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in managing and migrating large-scale data infrastructures within a specialized Data Lab environment. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve sizing Azure servers for SQL databases, selecting appropriate Azure resources, and establishing migration prerequisites such as access permissions and firewall configurations. You will lead the transition of databases from on-premises SQL clusters to Azure cloud environments while maintaining the administration of existing on-premises MS SQL systems. This role requires close coordination with application managers and various business departments to ensure seamless data integration. This position is particularly attractive due to its long-term stability, offering a 38-hour work week, 30 days of vacation, and the flexibility of remote work options after an initial on-site onboarding period in Augsburg.
